Florida Man Arrested After FedEx Delivers Cat Food Bag Hiding $30G of Crystal Meth

A Florida man is under arrest after allegedly receiving a FedEx package with $30,000 worth of crystal methamphetamine hidden in a cat food bag, myFOXorlando reported Thursday.

A Florida man is under arrest after allegedly receiving a FedEx package with $30,000 worth of crystal methamphetamine hidden in a cat food bag, myFOXorlando reported Thursday.

The package, which originated in Arizona, was delivered to a business in Leesburg, Fla., on Wednesday -- addressed to a client that lives in Washington, D.C. When the client said he was not expecting a delivery, the company -- Brokers Title of Leesburg -- called the police.

Upon opening the package, police found about 260 grams of crystal meth hidden in a cat food bag.

Robert Morris, 48, a resident of Eustis, Fla. -- roughly 35 miles (56km) northwest of Orlando -- was arrested after he contacted the company looking for the package.

Detectives set up a meeting and nabbed Morris when the package was turned over to him. Morris was charged with methamphetamine trafficking and resisting arrest.

His bail was set at more than $500,000.
