A few seasons ago I attended KCD’s digital press day. One of the labels I found myself intrigued by was Pedro Lourenço. The young Brazilian designer had explored lightness, geometry and texture.
I was fascinated by his technical ability. The sheer dress I’m holding in the image was my favorite piece not only from the Lourenço collection but my favorite piece in the whole showroom that day.
I think when it is executed right, the sheer, light and transparent can signify strength. There is strength in the vulnerable.
