What

Photography copyright and courtesy of Hannan Saleh | Dress by Maryling | Head scarf by COS as head wrap | rings on middle finger by Maria Francesca Pepe | Nicholas Kirkwood for Peter Pilotto shoes | gifted silver Boleyn M neklace by Wendy Brandes | sequin collar by Joanne Hynes

Why

These photos by Hannan Saleh reiterate that this Maryling dress needs an entourage of its own. It embodies that inexplicable mix of elegance meets edge that the brand does so very well.

I am sucker for Joanne Hynes’s work. Her sequin collar paired with Wendy Brandes’s silver Boleyn M necklace made me feel as regal as a girl can get minus a gem encrusted crown. My kind of a crown is a bold turban or head wrap and this check scarf by Cos transforms into the latter quite nicely.

Beauty Counter // Cosmetics A La Carte Stay-Put Intense Liner

Comestic A La Carte is one those brands that is a favorite with those in the know. The British brand founded by Lynne Sanders (also head chemist for the brand) has a lab in London’s Battersea and a boutique in Belgravia.

Their Stay-Put Intense eyeliner is perfect for all those who appreciate a great beauty product that is as efficient as it is effective. Take cue from spring summer’s mod inspired monochrome trend and create a 60′s doll like cateye. Given that this liner dries in 15 seconds you will be batting those lashes in no time at all.

Cosmetics A La Carte Stay-Put Intense Liner retails at £25.

Object Of My Affection // Kelly Love Beauty All Around Us Blazer

Image via Kelly Love.

A great print is one that is memorable. The ‘Beauty All Around Us’ 100% silk blazer by Kelly Love is just as its name suggests.

The blazer is a perfect example of Love’s signature of beautiful fabrics and simple structure. The silk crepe adds a languid mood to the tailoring of the design.

I particularly like that there is a languidness inherent in this design that is common to every Kelly Love piece. A languidness which may be well be informed by Love’s Australian background. It would look just at home on a beach as it would in the city.

Retailing at £380, find more on the beautiful piece and the eponymous Kelly Love label here.
