Ah the Grammys… where would we be without the anticipated glamour? I for one would have nothing to drool over! Even though my work as a Celebrity Personal stylist includes styling clients for the red carpet, I am always still excited by what the red carpet churns up.
As I tell my clients, when you hit the red carpet, recess if over. Have fun with it but trust me, it is not a time for play. It is time to charm, make a style statement and kill it (style wise that is)…
Love or Loathe Lady Gaga (In case you were wondering I’m with the Haus of Love Gaga party!), she cannot be accused of being boring. I for one adore her walking art installation meets conceptual couture orbitital starry outfit. The purveyor of all things marvellous, Mr Armani designed a series of Armani Prive pieces, including the above for Gaga which she wore both for red carpet and for stage. I want her shoes and the leg wear!
Rihanna looks like a winter wonder land vision in the Elie Saab gown. The piece is divine and works a treat with her newly lightened blonde coif.
Jennifer Lopez killed it in her Versace metal mesh dress. This takes me way back to Lopez in that slit Versace dress at the Grammys in 2000 with P.Diddy.
Beyoncé who picked up a female record 6 Grammy awards, wore Stephane Rolland on the red carpet with bold earrings. I love the whole celestial feel that the gown, earrings and glints of gold in her hair create.
Katy Perry’s outfit equals love! It’s sort of Bette Davis pin girl meets shimmering Bollywood. I adore that she wore gold ‘Bindi’ on her forehead. The Zac Posen dress is delish!
Nicole Kidman looked elegant in a black gown by Prada. I love the crystal detailing at the halter neck! Gorgeous!
Pink rocked it in a gown of graduating colour; she looked fabulous in the decadent floor sweeping Tony Ward Haute Couture number.
Taylor Swift looked every inch the Hollywood star. I love her in the off the shoulder shimmering midnight inky blue Kaufman Franco gown. She looks divine, elegant and effortless. The singer won four awards.
Actress Lea Michele from new addictive TV show Glee looked sophisticated in a one arm cocktail piece. I think the dress by Romona Keveza is gorgeous on the Lea who was making her Grammy debut.
Jennifer Nettles looked impeccable in Victoria Beckham. I like that she chose to go with red. I talked about that collection recently, find it here.
