For the first month of 2010 I am completely fixated on…
1. Dolce & Gabbana’s wedges.
Images Style.com
Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall/Winter 2009 collection was full of surreal 40′s glam details. The suede wedges were in keeping with the 40′s feel. The embellishment on them is divine! How amazing are the ruffled pair? The first pair are fabulous,a pearl it is encasing shell.Heart!
2. Ear Cuffs

There is something about ear cuffs that I find compelling. I think in present times this 80′s fad is done right when it has the right balance of the ethnic influence and the conceptual. The clip variety is convenient seeing that my lobes are unpierced.
3. Lounge Lover

This label makes the best lounge wear ever! I should know, I wear it constantly. Each piece is baby soft(jerseys, cashmeres in a neutral palette of grey, black, tan etc). It is perfect for remaining chic while relaxing. The two can co-exist. The long sleeve jersey top is amazing it has thumb holes which is a rad plus to any piece. Sylvie Gabriel the gorgeous designer behind the label believes in an ‘easy chic ethos which totally works.
4. The Dries Van Noten Sweater

I don’t know if I have ever seen a more perfect sweater. This Dries Van Noten design from his Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 collection has been stalking my dreams! The slouchy grungey cut, the delish colour, the fuzzy texture…
I could go on and on.
5. Epic Green Nail Lacquer

There is green nail polish and there is green nail polish. Before I confuse you let me make myself clear by saying the latter is usually epic, slightly other worldly and abso-freaking-fabulous. I was all over green nail in high school like a rash. It had to be a dark ambigious vampy green and that love is still burning today.
“Dickweed” by Kristin and Val of rad conversational LA based Fashion diary blog BLEACH BLACK is perfect. It is one part Malachite green, one part Beetle green and all parts lust inducing. The limited edition polish is available at Need Supply.
Another fave is “Thames” by fab London nail polish company, Butter LONDON. I love the hue, the fact that the colour is free from harmful carcinogens. The packaging is great.
London based Nail Inc’s “Kensington Palace” is a wonderful mix of bottle green and an inky petrol blue shade. I am addicted to it.
