OK so I am not going to lie, I want it all. But since I have to choose, this is what I am hoping to get. I cannot believe the pieces are already on Ebay for astronomically inflated prices, as seen here,

If you are based in Canada and U.S.A (collection went on sale there today) what bits have you bought? For my UK and European based readers what pieces from the collection is on your shopping list when it goes on sale next week?

Lanvin For H&M Preview Video

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

In September it was revealed that Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz was designing a collection for H&M. Elbaz spoke about the collaboration in a video seen here.

In it Elbaz is quoted as saying “H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less.”

Now H&M has released the above video which previews the collection.

Red Carpet fashion critic and founder of internationally popular fashion site, Red Carpet Fashion Awards,
Catherine Kallon, was quoted as saying “Lanvin for H&M Press day was amazing. I’ve gone from wanting 2 things to wanting everything.” on her Twitter.

She goes on to share her thoughts on the line-up with exclusive images here.

Catherine’s tweet got me excited about the upcoming launch. I agree with her on the desirability of the collection. The Lanvin aesthetic of sophistication, femininity and fun comes through in the pieces featured in the preview video.

It seems Elbaz has kept his promise about bringing Lanvin to a wider audience.

What are your thoughts on the video, the look of the collection and the collaboration as a whole?

The Lanvin Hearts for H&M collection is due to go on sale on November 23rd.

Here is my first set of delish gift ideas for the ladies. Hope they inspire a gift you receive or give. Oh and ladies… feel free to buy yourself a Valentine’s Day pressie. Who says you need to wait for someone else to appreciate your fabulous self? Self love is oh so important!

Gilda & Pearl

I am loving lingerie line Gilda & Pearl. Their decadent designs are handmade in the UK and would make a fabulous Valentine’s Day gift. The below designs trump tops! I am enamoured by the ‘Blue Dahlia’ set in first image and adore ‘How to marry a millionaire’ set in image two. I think that is such a memorable name.

The Blue Dahlia set is priced at £72 for the pleated bra and £45 for the skirted knicker. The How to marry a Millionaire set is £65 for the bra and £39 for the bow knicker.

Shop the lingerie at Gilda & Pearl.

Wendy Brandes

These above pieces by fine jeweler Brandes would make any girl very happy. The hefty sterling silver, heart shaped ‘Diana’ ring, is named after the late Diana, Princess of Wales. It was inspired by Diana’s efforts in the late 80′s towards to the AIDS cause.

The Diana ring is $450. It also comes in plain gold and a gold bedecked with diamonds options too. I am in love with the decadent Mignonette earrings too! They are $935.

Buy the pieces at Wendy Brandes.

Duchess Marden

Roses have become synonymous with Valentine’s Day. Eco fabulous beauty product company, Duchess Marden uses the rose in it’s products, as it is known to have a positive impact on well-being.

Spoil yourself or a love one with the all natural luxury line’s Enzyme Exfoliatant. The soothing mask is great for tired skin at $44. I am forever spritzing myself with their Rose water. It is such a mood lifter! It is $40.

Ooh Miss Lanvin!

Images of Miss Lanvin dolls used in collage are from Browns Fashion site

Meet another delish set of Miss Lanvin hand-painted porcelain dolls. Alber Elbaz’s Lanvin girls are utterly chic!

The man with the Midas touch has me lusting after each one of these porcelain dolls.

The first set was created in 2007 after Elbaz decorated the Lanvin Faubourg Saint-Honoré store window with miniature mannequins.
Lucky for us he then went on to collaborate with Franz, the ceramics company on the first set of dolls. They have not looked back since.

This attention to detail with each limited edition doll is wonderfully exquisite. Crushing on the birthday Miss Lanvin jumping out of the crystal bedecked cake! The cake is decorated in yummy gems, pearls, strawberries etc. Her cone gold hat topped of with a peal is super fun.

I also love the last one, the fabulous lady and child. The woman has on the most magnificent outfit; a one arm polka dotted dress, matching shoes and crystal jewellery (earrings and bracelet which are seen better in detail zoom at Browns Fashion. Both the daughter and her doll are enchanting in polka dots too. Adorable!

The hand painted limited edition porcelain dolls are £215 for the single doll sets. The duo dolls are £305. They available below at

Alber Elbaz Lanvin Stamps

Image of the Lanvin Stamp from wwd.com

My father travelled a lot during the summer holidays and would send me the most beautiful postcards from different interesting locations. The postal stamps intrigued me to no end and I would daydream of the different places my father was seeing on his canvassing trips.

Those postcards and the stamps on them were the start of my burgeoning love for postcards, stamps and travel. I still have that collection.

Earlier this month I read that Alber Elbaz has designed two postal stamps for the ‘La Poste’, the French postal service in celebration of Lanvin’s 120th anniversary. The stamps will go on sale early in 2010.

Other anniversary pieces to be had include notebooks, paper presses and pencils which are available at the post office on Rue des Mathurins in Paris. La Poste will also have them on sale in a yummy Lanvin store on its Web site.

In view of the fact that I have always been enamoured stamps and Alber Elbaz’s chic illustrations I cannot wait for these delish stamps to go on sale. I hope to snag them both!
