Gifted Ana Šekularac dress, gifted Genevieve Jones necklace and multiple cuffs.
Thursday 8th July 2010.
I spy with my little eye, something starting with ‘r’…
Last Thursday was as busy as ever. I had two interviews to carry out, styling appointments and consultations. As I left home that morning I had to take an extra outfit to change into with me. I was due to style a client for a cocktail party that evening and also had to attend a Thomas Sabo do
I knew my scarlet Ana Šekularac autumn winter 2009 – 2010 dress (a fabulous Christmas gift from the designer which is seen in full in image three) would work perfectly for the evening’s dressy affairs. Ana’s signature scarlet red was just what my internal colour doctor ordered that day. There is just something quite compelling about that shade of red, that never loses its appeal for me.
Strong and soft
At the end of my appointments and errands for the day, I dashed to my client’s house. I styled her for her event and then changed from the day outfit to the dress. The client drooled in lust over my dress and made me write down the designer’s name for her. She mentioned that she loved that the dress was all strong and soft simultaneously. Strong in structure but soft with a timeless elegance.
I threw my beloved necklace, the gold vermeil Genevieve Jones Four Corner necklace over it. I liked how it looked against the sheer bust section of the dress. The top back of the garment is also in the sheer fabric.
Destination good times
Soon her do was done and I got on the tube headed for the Thomas Sabo event. It was all sterling silver, dreamy fruit coolers and snap happy fun with strawberries and cherries (as seen in first two images).
Red is as red does
The scarlet dress had a fabulous night out, has been dry cleaned and is hanging patiently awaiting it’s next outing.
