Eco friendly products that kick the outdated stereotype that the environmentally friendly equals unattractive get top row space on my bathroom shelf.

What we put on our skin and hair is as important (if not more!) as what we put in our bodies. I am a huge fan of all natural beauty products which are free from harmful parabens. My Eco – Fabulous segment is dedicated to sharing them with you.

Stella McCartney stays in keeping with her environment friendly and sexy meets effortless modern ethos with her new skin line.

Care by Stella McCartney is made from 100% certified bio-active ingredients. It contains no petrochemical products or synthetic preservatives.

McCartney’s philosophy is her products has what your skin needs and does not have what your skin does not need.

The unisex body skincare line is packaged in recyclable materials. McCartney has thought of everything, including a recycling program set up by the brand. The Stella McCartney Recycle Care Program is such a great incentive.

This line gets Mariankihogo.com’s Eco Fabulous stamp of approval. It proves that a beauty product can be luxurious at no cost to the environment or one’s health.

Anyone who knows me knows I am in love with eco -friendly beauty products. Let me make myself super clear just in case the word eco is currently conjuring up boring drab packaged products.

I mean eco-fabulous beauty products that look just as great as they feel. They are luxurious, pampering and free of harmful chemicals. I have on speed dial Essential Care’s Gentle Herb Shampoo for my hair, Jo Wood’s Tula Exfoliating scrub for my face and body etc.

One of my eco-fabulous favourites is the Duchess Marden brand. I am addicted to their Foam Cleanser; it is effective for taking my make-up off but does so gently. Another Duchess Marden personal favourite is the Damascena Rose Water. It is truly super invigorating!

Duchess Marden was started by American, Marla Steuer after a journey to South East Asia and a desert trek through India. There she learnt about healing & hydrating properties of the rose, which she incorporated into an all natural sensual skincare line. The line is free of parabens, petrochemicals and chemical preservatives.

I am super glad Marla started this line as the products look and feel stunning! It goes to show that all natural products do not have to be unsightly.
