Another day, another denim line. Happily for me, this is one that should prove interesting.

Dame Vivienne Westwood an icon of British Fashion and the pioneer of the Punk fashion movement has teamed up with American denim brand Lee.

The new line called Vivienne Westwood Anglomania and Lee collection will feature a range of micro shorts and skinny jeans with cuts in metallic hues. The collection with a prices ranging from $128 to $320 will be available from next autumn.

I don’t know about you but I am starting a special saving fund towards a pair or two pronto.

Topshop designer 2010 Collaborations

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

Topshop always has some of the most anticipated collaborations. It was not too long ago that shoppers battled it out in a frenzy for Christopher Kane for Topshop Gorilla print T-shirts and dresses.

In the New Year there are three new collaborations to make a note of in your new diaries.

First on the bill is Ann Sofie Black to be launched on 6th January. This is the third time Ann Sofie Black has lent her dark aesthetic for the high street fave. This 7 piece collection is Goth inspired with cleverly slashed cotton skirts, t-shirt and jumper dresses.

Next up is Jonathan Saunders who is known for his graphic shapes. His pieces for Topshop are sportswear inspired with denim featuring heavily. I am in love with the long sleeved devoré dress for £45 as below. It all goes on launch on 20th January.

Last but by no means the least is Ashish. His collection is delish but wear with caution as it’s bedecked with enough stud spikes to keep Rihanna happy. He also gives the humble sweat pant a face lift. The Asish collection for Topshop goes on sale 3rd February.

Alber Elbaz Lanvin Stamps

Image of the Lanvin Stamp from wwd.com

My father travelled a lot during the summer holidays and would send me the most beautiful postcards from different interesting locations. The postal stamps intrigued me to no end and I would daydream of the different places my father was seeing on his canvassing trips.

Those postcards and the stamps on them were the start of my burgeoning love for postcards, stamps and travel. I still have that collection.

Earlier this month I read that Alber Elbaz has designed two postal stamps for the ‘La Poste’, the French postal service in celebration of Lanvin’s 120th anniversary. The stamps will go on sale early in 2010.

Other anniversary pieces to be had include notebooks, paper presses and pencils which are available at the post office on Rue des Mathurins in Paris. La Poste will also have them on sale in a yummy Lanvin store on its Web site.

In view of the fact that I have always been enamoured stamps and Alber Elbaz’s chic illustrations I cannot wait for these delish stamps to go on sale. I hope to snag them both!

DKNY gets cozy on your phone

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

DKNY introduced the elegant ‘Cozy’ in a variety of colours and fabrics (changing each season) in 2003 which has built a cult following since then.

“The Cozy is the perfect fashion companion–wrap yourself in comfort on the plane, cover–up on the beach. Dress it up for a cocktail party, polish your look in the office or just throw it on for hitting the streets.”

Now DKNY has gone one further and now launched the “HOW TO WEAR A COZY” iPhone application.

The fun application that was created in partnership with Atimi Software Inc is like your personal fashion stylist. It helps you completely make the best use of your cozy.

The cozy can be worn in a dozen chic ways. The high definition easy to use application is like the guide that shows you how to do so with one tap of the iPhone application.

I like technology like this as it’s like a style guide coffee book but more environmentally friendly. Also it can go anywhere you go with ease. DKNY definitely gets brownie points for this in my book. Fashion and chic technology? Yes please!

Visit DKNY below for more information. There is a great tutorial on the application for the busy woman on the go.
