Meet another delish set of Miss Lanvin hand-painted porcelain dolls. Alber Elbaz’s Lanvin girls are utterly chic!

The man with the Midas touch has me lusting after each one of these porcelain dolls.

The first set was created in 2007 after Elbaz decorated the Lanvin Faubourg Saint-Honoré store window with miniature mannequins.
Lucky for us he then went on to collaborate with Franz, the ceramics company on the first set of dolls. They have not looked back since.

This attention to detail with each limited edition doll is wonderfully exquisite. Crushing on the birthday Miss Lanvin jumping out of the crystal bedecked cake! The cake is decorated in yummy gems, pearls, strawberries etc. Her cone gold hat topped of with a peal is super fun.

I also love the last one, the fabulous lady and child. The woman has on the most magnificent outfit; a one arm polka dotted dress, matching shoes and crystal jewellery (earrings and bracelet which are seen better in detail zoom at Browns Fashion. Both the daughter and her doll are enchanting in polka dots too. Adorable!

The hand painted limited edition porcelain dolls are £215 for the single doll sets. The duo dolls are £305. They available below at

Image of the Lanvin Stamp from wwd.com

My father travelled a lot during the summer holidays and would send me the most beautiful postcards from different interesting locations. The postal stamps intrigued me to no end and I would daydream of the different places my father was seeing on his canvassing trips.

Those postcards and the stamps on them were the start of my burgeoning love for postcards, stamps and travel. I still have that collection.

Earlier this month I read that Alber Elbaz has designed two postal stamps for the ‘La Poste’, the French postal service in celebration of Lanvin’s 120th anniversary. The stamps will go on sale early in 2010.

Other anniversary pieces to be had include notebooks, paper presses and pencils which are available at the post office on Rue des Mathurins in Paris. La Poste will also have them on sale in a yummy Lanvin store on its Web site.

In view of the fact that I have always been enamoured stamps and Alber Elbaz’s chic illustrations I cannot wait for these delish stamps to go on sale. I hope to snag them both!
