Everyone from Lady Gaga, Estelle to royalty love his work. I popped backstage at the Bernard Chandran show. I love the drool inducing feather and crystal embellished heels. The bedecked jewellery bibs were enough to this magpie super happy.

Apart from oogling the accessories,I also threw a few questions to lovely Bernard(who was rocking some fabulous wedge heel booties) as below.

What was your inspiration and thoughts on this collection?
I was inspired by the woman with imagination. She would like to have something different, she is not afraid to try something different and from there I take it from her and give her something dynamic in the cuts and mix five/four fabrics in one dress to seem as one.

A masculine material such as wool with feminine silk and organza. I put them together and added embroidery, zipper details, feathers for glamour and I love colour so I have added three colours in one design. There are belts for versatility as even with a shirt, sometimes you want it tight and sometimes loose. All the belts are also from menswear fabrics.

This collection seemed a tad more young in feel to your previous. Would you say that was that the case?
Yes, you work and re-work on a collection, then you look into a collection and think about how women feel now.

They are independent, they like to do what they want. They are so inspired, now men get inspired too to wear skirts and high heels. Everybody wants to be young, so my designs are my part in making them feel good.

How would you like to see your collection worn?
Don’t plan it too much, just put it on and follow you heart. If you want to tie it, tie it. If not, leave it as it is.That way, the clothes don’t over power.
