I actually went to a talk on 'making it as a stylist' (for the blog no because I am heading for a career change) and it was so awful, the 'experts' were so down on all the students there. This is what they should have been told, that like any career passion and hard work are what you need. Thanks for sharing xxx Woah!!! I loved it, and I've really never been the same. It's like Italy opened my eyes to all the beauty in the world, and now I can't NOT see it. My interests run naturally toward fashion journalism (thus, my blog), but lately I've started to wonder about styling and fashion PR. Even web design (for fashion-related endeavors) has my juices flowing lately! I can't wait until I'm able to intern again. First-hand job experience is always the best teacher. I know that your post will astonish and help some that just love fashion to bits and could be confused by this moment and what it means. Your talking about loving it, going for it, working and working and working ... it's rich and true. It is not easy really. One has to shop, buy, return, pin, tape, wish someone had worn deodorant, hot lights, craft tables overflowing with carbs, sugar, fat and caffeine, moods, ten hour days that take sixteen, working even when tired, miserable or offered a better job.
