I cannot get enough of safety pin earrings. There are quite a few on he market but adoring these two pairs. The stone embellished pair is by Genevieve Jones. Her ‘Wishing safety pin’ earrings come in a wide variety of stones and material. Tom Binns elongated ‘Classic gold safety pin’ pair are to drool for too.

I am still utterly besotted by Miu Miu spring summer 2010 line up. The child meets woman collection is so Lolita! Who knew smocking, giant sequins, sheer, cat+dog+naked women prints would work so delightfully together?! These close ups from backstage at the show are dreamy. I fell head over cats for the prints!

The details of the Rodarte autumn/winter 2010-2011 are a feast for the eyes. Dip dye crochet, fuzzy glory, embroidered sheers, patchworked delights, Nicholas Kirkwoods shoes, knits, desolate florals and I could go on.

I did some safety pin stuff back in 2005! Felt like it had been done too often though…not carrying that design anymore!
These collections are a feast for the eyes. I love the naked women print, and giant sequins!
Obsessing on the Tom Binns elongated safety pin (love everything he does) … just throwing on All Saints sweaters and tops that work nicely with a safety pin (kilt pin?) – sort of classic and downtown.
I was just looking at Tom Binns’ jewelry before checking out this post, haha. I love those safety pin earrings; they seem both edgy and whimsical to me, which is always a good combination. This Miu Miu collection is SO cute. I love watching the fashion show images come rolling in, but it’s nice to look at something that gets me excited for spring!

When you see the collection on the runway models you don’t get a good look, but it’s different when you see actual women wearing clothes from the collection and looking great in them. I’ve got a new respect for Miuccia Prada because I now understand her design esthetic.
