I am forever checking out vintage ads and editorials, it is interesting seeing which models were used in which, the poses, photography, styling and of course the garments themselves. Some can be quite inspiring. I stumbled upon these vintage Versace autumn/winter 1994 campaign ads on the Versace campaign ad thread on The Fashion Spot.
They are so typically 90’s Versace but also remind me of Cher’s wardrobe in Clueless and other memories from that decade. The cropped pastel knits, barely there shiny metallics, pop socks, the pop brights with cut outs.
To recreate the look, throw on this blush pink crop cardigan, frill ankle socks and sunglasses from Topshop. Shimmy into the gold tube skirt from American Apparel and my oh my, you are now oh so mid 90’s Versace girl.

Shiny Lame Kisses,

ooie – the pastel turtlenecks are hot, esp. with antiqued jeans & i luv metallice -
have collected metallic bags for about four years now.
I like the metallic skirts
I’d be run out of Peyton Place on a rail if I dressed like that. Versace was genius.
I REMEMBER THOSE ADS! And miss those models.
Hi there-a fabulous post, I’m loving the Versace pictures and your inspirational pieces for it!!
Sending you some GLAM KISSES back
Oh yes, these Versace ads, I remember them!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!
They did a few years later another awesome campaign, which I would know the year exactly
Have a beautiful day ahead Marian! Enjoy the sunshine!!!
i miss the glamazons!
Far more fun than the stick figures used in most campaigns lately.
My favorite Versace memory is my mum buying me these Verace/Versus neon pink pencil thing jeans. With these ridiculous medusa head gold buttons. I thought I was SO FIERCE in them.
I miss the 90’s.

hi dear. i have a hard time liking this. the fuzzyness is ok. but the bare midriff- its just better left in the past i think.. and i did the bare midriff when i was younger. skinny as a stick- but it did not look ok then either.. i do like your picks a lot more. much nicer version of the nineties. brilliant marian.
P.s had a great time working this week too.
