Streetwise downtown New York meets the coastal vacation feel of Maine in footwear designer Alejandro Ingelmo’s new collection.
Aptly named ‘Made in Maine’, the new line for spring 2013 boasts of being handcrafted in Maine.
This is new for Ingelmo who has become known for his sculptural no height spared heels. The Kennedy loafer and Boater styles are of three designs in the line for women (available in sedate hues such as burgundy or fluoro options as seen above. There are five styles for men).
The fact that they are crafted in Maine adds to their appeal given their classic Americana preppy inspiration and form. Ingelmo adds edge with the stacked creeper like sole.
Will be available at Barneys NY, Neiman Marcus, Harvey Nichols, instore at Alejandro Ingelmo and online.
