Crane.tv Curates One Room Three Global Names: Kate MccGwire

In The Front Room at St Martins Lane, Crane.tv Curates presented the private view of One Room, Three Global Names exhibition.

Crane.tv Curates sees luxury video only magazine, Crane.tv make the move into live installations and exhibitions. Where culture in 3D form is juxtaposed next to state of the art film curated by Crane.tv, in a bid to make culture more accessible.

The exhibition which brings the public into the private world of Crane.tv and showcases three global names individually, across the span of 11th January to 30th January.

Starting with Sir Terence Conran, last night saw the turn of Kate MccGwire. Discovered in 2004 by Charles Saatchi during her degree show at the Royal College of Art, MccGwire’s works on show ranged from the drawings on paper (her Suture piece includes wax and Horse hair), a fantastical box of curiosities to the FINE (Fucked-Up, Neurotic and Emotional) as seen above.

The latter piece as seem above is made from feathers and mixed media in an antique cabinet. It measures 1580 H x 570 W x 1550 D.

Kate MccGwires residency at the Crane.tv Curates exhibition in The Front Room at St Martins Lane lasts for a week. It is open from 11am – 8pm, Monday – Sunday and admission is free.
