Hormazd Narielwalla Fairy-God, Fashion-Mother Private View.

Monday 14th November, 2011.

The Modern Pantry. 47-48 St. John’s Square, Clerkenwell, EVC1V 4JJ, London.

Awe inspiring musical interlude by the beautiful and equally talented Araminta Sheridan (who was wearing the most fantastic spiral headpiece) as accompanied by her brother Bertie Sheridan on guitar. They are pictured together in last image.

In the inviting confines of The Modern Pantry, Hormazd Narielwalla had the private view of Fairy-God, Fashion-Mother, his series of paper collages as inspired by cult curator Diane Pernet.

The series sees Narielwalla explore form with his signature use of tailoring patterns.

In attendance was his muse, the inimitable Diane Pernet as seen in the first and second images. The well turned out affair had guests from the worlds of fashion, art, photography, design, bespoke tailoring (Narielwalla is an artist in residence at Dege & Skinner, Saville Row).

On the night, guest of honor Diane Pernet was kind enough to share that her favorite piece from the Fairy-God, Fashion-Mother is possibly the work seen on the extreme left in the third image.

The event was sponsored Sheridan&Co as founded by Michael Sheridan, The Modern Pantry as founded by Anna Hansen (who invited the artist to show there) and 3Objectives Photography.

Read features on the event by Diane Pernet and Hormazd Narielwalla here and here, respectively.
