Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 campaign. Photography by Juergen Teller. Image via Fashion Gone Rogue
I am currently being inspired by this campaign image. There is a distinct obscurity, desolation and intentional displacement that is reminiscent of the photography of Deborah Turbeville.
The above image specifically reminds me of her Women in the woods’ series published in Vogue Italia in 1977.
That faded, slightly dilapidated, blurry style of photography works well with the decrepit Victorian Dickensian direction of Marc’s fall 2012 collection.
Be inspired.
