Tsemaye Binitie is a British born designer of Nigerian heritage. After honing his skills at fashion houses like Stella McCartney and John Rocha, Binitie has carved out a successful business in a few years.
The Kingston University graduate usually employs minimalist, clean cut lines further pronounced by a monochromatic palette. There is a New York sportswear feel about Binitie’s aesthetic but what truly enthralls is his construction which seems deceptively simple but is actually cleverly complex.
His woman has a definite element of grittiness about her elegance. This mood is perhaps lent by the masculine edge embodied in this fall 2012 collection.
