John Rocha Spring 2013
There is always a strong duality in John Rocha’s work; romantic but tough, strong while fragile and tender.
His enduring love of structure, texture and form are key once more. Surfaces are densely worked with deep ruffles of lace, applique and embellishment. His usual somber palette of black and cream is joined by scarlet, sunshine yellow, sky blue, rosy pinks and lilac. These colors were inspired by time spent at Chateau Lacoste in the South of France.
