
To me these plastic-metallic-fringe skirts are like the garment equivalent of a happy pill. Happiness being the encapsulation of what an otherworldly disco would feel like, all stitched up into a sheeny shiny skirt.
Bright, shiny, most definitely happy.

They do have an other worldly something about them, just lovely.
I was at my best on the disco floor, back in the day. When Donna Summer ruled, and everyone was cramming to get into Studio 54. Disco really makes clothing come “alive”. Swing actually does that too. Something about the quick, fluid movements that make every woman look simply beautiful.
When you hit the dance floor, Marian darling, please get someone to snap off a few shots for us.
