A great fashion house knows its DNA inside out and is able to use it to redefine its future.
Look closely at this new collection by Nicolas Ghesquière and you see the Spanish heritage of the house in the flamenco ruffles. However the lines of the cuts acknowledging Balenciaga’s past are far from retro. If anything they point firmly to the future.
