Quote Of The Day – Leontyne Price
Tuesday, March 13th, 2012Shoe Rack // Chanel Fall 2012
Friday, March 9th, 2012If these Chanel shoes were a person they would have split personality. Is it a boot? Is it T-Bar heel? It is both dependent on what side you look at.
The case of buy one, get two styles in one. Add the heelless effect that the transparent perspex heel (as inspired by the crystal and mineralogy angle of the collection) lend and the shoes seem even more surreal.

For the past few seasons high fashion and couture has had a love affair with facial piercings (albeit faux).
At Chanel pre-fall 2012 it was Indian inspired, at Jeremy Scott fall 2012 it seemed to channel the colorful chaos of Ms. Fitz and at Givenchy Couture spring 2012 it gave a nod to Lisbeth Salander of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Nose piercings? What say thou?

Christopher Kane’s wallpaper flowers and Marc Jacobs large applique plastic flowers for Louis Vuitton had a luminescent quality.
Is it just me or do these garments look like they are lit from within?
More trend spotting.

Custom Made By Wendy Brandes

It is such an honor to be given a ring by fine jewelry designer Wendy Brandes. Even more of an honor that it was a custom design, made especially for me.
The ring in question is the silver one with amethyst, as seen on my index finger. I particularly like the design as it emotes a duality (masculinity and femininity, hardness and softness) that is continually present in my style. It also has it in its favor, a stacked feel. So it looks like two identical rings worn stacked together. Two of a good thing (even if it only seems like two!) is always better than one.
If you have followed this site over time it is obvious that I am a fan of her work.
I obsessed about her custom Tiger ring here.
Shared five minutes with her here, had her share a day in her life here and crushed on her Cleopatra earrings which Kim Cattral wore in character as Samantha in the Sex and the City 2 movie here.
Discover her work.
