An Awfully Big Adventure By Tim Walker
Monday, December 3rd, 2012Inspiration // Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 Campaign
Monday, August 27th, 2012I am currently being inspired by this campaign image. There is a distinct obscurity, desolation and intentional displacement that is reminiscent of the photography of Deborah Turbeville.
The above image specifically reminds me of her Women in the woods’ series published in Vogue Italia in 1977.
That faded, slightly dilapidated, blurry style of photography works well with the decrepit Victorian Dickensian direction of Marc’s fall 2012 collection.
Be inspired.Tolula Adeyemi x House of Sunny by Wayne Johns
Thursday, January 5th, 2012House of Sunny | Model Tolula Adeyemi | Photography by Wayne Johns.
Muse to Vivienne Westwood, model and actress Tolula Adeyemi shines in these new campaign shots for House of Sunny.
Shot by Wayne Johns in London’s picturesque Richmond, the aesthetic of the imagery recalls an elegant bygone era.
For more on the campaign (and upcoming film short) and House of Sunny as helmed by Saville Row trained Sunny Williams, read Tolula’s piece on it here.

Sunday, December 4th, 2011Inspiration // Yohji Yamamoto By Nick Knight
Monday, May 2nd, 2011There are some creative collaborations that are simply genius. The Yohji Yamamoto ads as shot by Nick Knight for fall winter 1988 happen to be some my favorite images by the photographer.
He captures the very essence of Yamamoto’s fall winter 1988 collection with haunting precision.
